What does Peace Kawomera mean to you?
Peace Kawomera is an organization whose purpose is to champion unity among people regardless of culture or religion to bring development.
What was life like before Peace Kawomera?
The people were so much divided on so many bases of religion and culture, and even the farming wasn’t so good.
What has been the greatest change in your life since joining Peace Kawomera?
Since Peace Kawomera we learned how to care for coffee and yields have increased coupled with fair prices for coffee. We have also achieved unity among ourselves and friends abroad.
What was interfaith life like before Peace Kawomera formed?
Before there was much segregation, but now we are in unity with one another.
Can you give an example of how Peace Kawomera has change the way one religious group treats another religious group in the area?
At first, Muslims would not enter into the church, but today they come and pray in the church.
How many children live in your home?

What does Fair Trade mean to you?
Fair Trade has helped me in my home in educating my children and providing clothing. We have also been able to buy small animals like goats.
What are your hopes for the future?
My hopes for the future are for all the children I am care taking to get work. I also want grandkids. It’s ok if they are farmers. I give thanks to the pioneers of Peace Kawomera, all the members of the board and the original members. I hope that relationships with Thanksgiving Coffee Company last for a long time so they can achieve their goals of education, because this type of relationship, growth, and partnership takes time.
